Health and Safety
- I take every step possible to ensure that customers are kept safe and well. Edinburgh Private Walking Tours accepts no liability for any accident, injury or loss or damage to personal belongings whilst on a walking tour.
- Parents/carers/supervising adults are solely responsible for the discipline, safety and well-being of their children and young people whilst on a walking tour.
- Customers are expected to dress appropriately for the weather with flat, comfortable walking shoes/trainers because some Edinburgh streets are cobbled or steep.
Bookings and Payments
- All tours must be booked and paid for in full online in advance of the tour.
- There is a minimum requirement of booking 2 weeks in advance, and 3 weeks in advance for some tours, of the actual date of the tour. This is because tours require advance planning and booking of certain aspects of a tour e.g., food tasting venues.
- The sooner you book, the greater guarantee you will get the tour and date/starting time that you want.
- Subject to availability in some instances it may be possible to book a tour less than 2 weeks in advance.
Cancellations and refunds
- 6 or more weeks prior to the date of tour: 75% refund
- 5 weeks prior to the date tour: 50% refund
- No refunds less than a month prior to the date of a tour.
Weather conditions
- Tours take place regardless of the weather. In the event of bad weather, where possible a tour may be re-routed to provide maximum shelter
