Discover the old town of Edinburgh from the earliest times down through the centuries to the present day and get two towns for the price of one!

You will see the major sites of the old town and learn about famous and infamous Edinburgh characters.

You will visit:  

  • the Royal Mile from the castle to Holyrood Palace, Arthur’s Seat and the Scottish Parliament building
  • Victoria Street
  • The Grassmarket
  • Candlemaker Row
  • Greyfriars churchyard
  • George IV Bridge

Subject to availability of places, your tour includes a free 45-minute guided tour of the interior of St Giles Cathedral and the Thistle Chapel (10 places available)

The Witchery by the Castle restaurant, 352 Castlehill. Castlehill is the narrow road that leads up to the castle esplanade and the castle. The Witchery is on the left hand side near the top of Castlehill.

Optional:
Subject to availability, I can book a 45 minute (2.30 – 3.15pm) free guided tour of the interior of the Scottish Parliament building where you will learn about the history, art, architecture and history of the Scottish Parliament.

Please email me to indicate the numbers in your group who wish to take this optional tour after the ‘Auld Reekie’ tour. The sooner this is done, the greater the chance of obtaining tickets. At certain times in the parliamentary calendar, this tour may not be available.
