  • Johnston’s of Elgin, a world-renowned manufacturer for men, ladies and children. The company has won many awards, has a Royal warrant and makes for many famous labels including Chanel. It is the only manufacturer in Scotland which is capable of taking natural fibres from a raw state through every stage of the process to perfectly finished products in cashmere, vicuna, lambswool and merino.  The production tour is a fascinating insight into production and quality control.
  • Lunch is in the coffee shop where all food is locally sourced and home-made.

  • Hawico is one of the leading cashmere brands in the world today and is committed to producing luxurious cashmere knitwear in every conceivable colour for men and women. You can watch seamless garments being knitted from the viewing gallery.
  • Lovat Mill has the largest selection of stocked woven tweeds in Scotland, fitting for the town that is the home of tweed. Here you can buy tweed by the metre for clothing and country pursuits. Lovat Mill is also famous for its woven throws and blankets, as well as offering a wide selection of accessories including hand crafted bags and Tweed caps.
  • William Lockie knitwear store produces the softest finest and most luxurious range of knitwear in cashmere, lambswool, merino, camelhair and super Geelong in sweators and accessories.  Lockie’s, as it is affectionately called, dates back to 1874 and remains family owned with skilled workers from the same families.
  • The Borders Distillery is dedicated to producing the finest single malt whisky. It uses barley grown on 12 local farms all within a 35-mile radius of the distillery.  After the tour you choose two samples from vodka, gin and whisky to taste.
