A food tasting walking tour

Come dine with me and I shall introduce you to the:

  • Local produce and baking of Scotland.
  • Royal Mile in the old town and the eastern edge of the New Town

The tour includes:

  • Broughton Street in the new town
  • Canongate (part of the Royal Mile) in the old town
  • Victoria Street leading down to the Grassmarket in the old town

On this unique tour you will sample mouth-watering savoury and sweet traditional dishes locally sourced and celebrating the natural larder of Scottish produce.

A nip of whisky, local beer or a soft drink accompanies your food tasting, along with a hearty helping of Edinburgh hospitality.

Recipes to make once home will bring back happy memories of this special food tasting tour. No need to book an evening meal after this delicious riposte. But should you feel peckish in the middle of the night, some Scottish baking ‘treats’  are my parting gift to you. I am a passionate advocate of the excellence and quality of Scottish food and hope that by the end of this tour you will think so too!

  • The Tolbooth Tavern
  • The Fudge Shop
  • Iain Mellis cheese shop.

  • Cheese
  • Oatcakes
  • One ‘nip’ of whisky (a beer or soft drink can be served as an alternative), additional drinks and beverages at group’s own expense.

I shall show you pictures and recipes relating to Scottish traditional fayre and give information about restaurants and cafes in Edinburgh and characterful traditional pubs in Edinburgh.
